1-800-Flowers.com Receives Class Action Lawsuit
January 31, 2010 by Troy
Well, what do you know? I received a little letter in the mail stating I have the right to a $10 Gif Voucher for each purchase I made from 1-800-Flowers.com between March 1st, 2006 and February 5th, 2008. Seems like the the online flower retailer got into a bit of trouble.
According to the letter, a class action lawsuit (Molnar v. 1-800-Flowers Retail, Inc) was filed in Los Angeles on December 21st, 2007. It alleges that “1-800-Flowers made misleading statements and omitted information concerning the shipping and delivery charges associated with certain on-line purchases and floral products.” Oh snap!
Apparently the courts couldn’t decide who was right and 1-800-Flowers denied ever doing anything wrong. So, in an effort to avoid massive litigation fees, they reached a settlement agreement leading to $10 gift vouchers for anyone who bought products during 3/1/06 and 2/5/08. Woo hoo!
What’s funny about the whole situation is I have no earthly idea why the hell I would have bought flowers in the first place.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Commercial Is Just… Dumb
January 30, 2010 by Troy
Forget the fact that this racing game might actually hold you over until the next Mario Kart comes out. Forget the fact that the levels look more interesting than what we’ve seen in other Wii racing games. Forget the fact that you’re about to watch the worst acting ever. Prepared? I sure hope so.
This is SEGA’s latest commercial for Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing. Instead of being narrated by a deep-voiced-movie-like-older-man, SEGA instead opted for Alex and Jen, two of the most odd gamers we’ve ever seen. Sure, the game play looks semi-interesting but it’s their horrible (and sometimes creepy) acting that makes this commercial a huge fail.
“Bring. It. On.” … “Super horn!” … “You can ride Bananas!” … “Amigo’s crazy sunbuggie!!!” … Where’s my gun?

Bethenny Frankel Not Returning To Housewives of New York
January 30, 2010 by Troy
There’s been a lot of talks about season 3 of The Real Housewives of New York. We know the show follows the franchise of being drama filled, but it turns out Bethenny Frankel just isn’t into it.
In a recent interview with Radar Online, Bethenny said the show has become “completely toxic and completely psychotic.” With that said, she did confirm that it will be the best housewives of New York season ever. Read more

Operation Repo: We Have To Repossess A Segway?
During these tough economic times, it’s inevitable that vehicles will be repossessed. Whether buyers can’t afford the payments, they lost their job, or maybe they just don’t feel like paying the note… when you don’t make the payments, the repossession starts.
Tonight, I found a little show called Operation Repo. As much as I hate to admit it, it’s one of my favorite new shows (well, it’s not new, but I’m new to it). I’ve watched them take car after car but when the guys were asked to repossess a Segway, I immediately took notice. Read more

iPad: First Look
For the past couple of years, since the dawn of the iPhone, the internet has been eagerly anticipating Apple’s foray into the tablet category. Fast forward to [January 27th,] 2010 and Apple finally pulls the curtain on its secret multi-touch tablet and calls it the iPad.
So what is an iPad? Do you set it on the floor to capture your dogs pittle? Do you take it with you to use as a cushion at Friday night’s game? Does it breed golden unicorns for the sole purpose of taking us the Apple Store? There’s been lots of speculation — some good, some out of this world — but we all know one thing, it was supposed to be the next-generation of touch screen computers. Read more

‘Shelter’ Is What A Gay Movie Should Be
January 26, 2010 by Troy
It’s not every day you see a gay movie that’s worth watching (sorry to break it to you, gay community). Honestly, most of them [gay movies] are cast or written with stereotypical feminine “twinks” with nothing but sex on their mind. I get it, we like sex; but come on, there’s more to life. For that simple fact, I fell in love with the movie called Shelter. I know, I know — the image above totally looks like they just had sex, but it was just a really cute picture of them. Anyway, this has got to be one of the best gay movies I’ve ever seen. Read more

January 24, 2010 by Troy
Newsflash: the biggest power-couple in the world, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, might be splitting up. According to News Of The World (NOTW),
“Dynamite legal papers secretly signed by the couple this month detail how all their homes and assets will be carved up.”
Apparently, an unnamed sources has told NOTW that they visited a “top LA” law firm and that “the [documents were] signed in early January.” According to this source the document outlines how their gargantuan bank accounts will be split equally ($322 million), who’ll own what properties, and that their children will be shared by both Brad and Angelina — though Angelina gets full-time custody. Don’t Mess With The Spider, Daddy
January 23, 2010 by Troy
I swear, there are so many animal videos on the interwebs today. Take this one for instance; it’s a spider in a house. But, this isn’t just any spider, it’s a Huntsman spider. Sometimes called the Crab Spider or Wood Spider, Huntsmans are uber fast and this little freakishly enormous female is on the prowl for a mate. Luckily for this camera man she isn’t poisonous.
So what do you do when you have a spider with a 9-inch leg span sitting on your wall? Grab your camera and your daughter of course. I think this video was more scary than Paranormal Activity.
