Jamaican boobs, mon!
Before you read this post, read my first post about My Royal Caribbean Cruise.
Day three was the most fun. We arrived in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, at 7:00am. Me and Tim had to head out at 8:00am to meet our bus that was heading to the repelling station in the jungle. The ride there was not for the faint of heart. (Quick though: I sound like a pussy that I constantly get scared, but, uhh, I promise, I’m not. Yeah.) For the first 30 minutes of the ride we were on solid ground, you know, the paved kind. The last 30 minutes was a steep climb up a dirt road, on the side of a mountain, on cliffs, and it just got done raining, we were basically riding on mud. Sigh. Have you ever felt like you were about to die? Yeah, that’s how I felt on that last 30 minutes.
Once we got to the top, my scared feelings were all gone. We suited up with our harnesses (all 20 of us) and headed on one of the longest hikes down a mountain I’ve ever done. Both Tim and I thought it would be a piece of cake, heck, even the fat girl in front of us was down for a hike. Needless to say, it was exhausting. But, what incredible views we had. The jungle was awesome and it was so picturesque I wish I could stay there forever.
Repelling over small canyons was exciting. If I ever win the lottery, I’m going to buy a hundred acres in Jamaica and have someone build me one of these! My favorite part was when there was a straight drop down the tree at the halfway checkpoint. We had to fall about 20 feet and the guides just let go of the rope to let us free fall until almost hitting the ground where they would catch the rope and stop us immediately. UBER. (See video above.)
After repelling we got to visit some garden that was so beautiful. I took some pictures and you can see them below.
We didn’t get to visit Grand Cayman since the weather was rough, but we did visit Cozumel, Mexico for some shopping. This is where I bought my fake diamond studs, a sliver necklace, a couple of Mexican blankets for me and my boss (Joanie Miller) and some Pineapple rum (mmmm).
As you can tell, I enjoyed myself. I might skip a cruise next time and just stay at an island. I kind of miss not being able to eat and go where the locals go.
