The Silver On My Earrings Turning Black

Yuck. After feeling sick lately, I remembered that I heard of someone getting sick because of their earrings not having sterling silver. After I took a shower this morning, guess what, the so-called “sterling silver” that the jeweler in Mexico assured me was real, well, is not. I’m really bummed because they are the perfect sized fake diamond studs (lol). But, when I took them out this morning, the part that goes through your ear was black. And, I’m sure that’s not good.

I don’t know if that’s what’s making me sick, but I’ll keep them out for now. But I do know I won’t be buying jewelery in any foreign country… that’s for sure.
