Sprint Zeroing In On Palm Pre Launch Date

Yes, folks. We’ve finally got a good guess on when the Palm Pre release date will be. Everyone’s current guess is now May. Why? Let me tell joo:

First, we found out that Sprint employees are currently being trained with the Palm Pre. You know, we need to have technical assistance should we have a question about our Pres. Right? Yes! MobileCruch emailed Sprint to confirm that their employees indeed where being trained with the Palm Pre but the only response they received was, “I would like to inform that Sprint is in the process of providing the training for the new Palm Pre. Once it’s launched, Sprint will be ready to serve their valued customers regarding the Palm Pre.” Fine — don’t give us any information Sprint! We’ll still love you.

Secondly, Engadget heard the most important information once could receive from Sprint: Sprint has put a vacation blackout in May. Now, I know what you’re thinking; Sprint is a controlling corporation and is uber mean for not letting their employees go on vacation. That couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, various blogs are suspecting that this means the Palm Pre will launch in May. We’ve seen it before — Apple put a vacation blackout the month the iPhone was launched. Sprint knows the Palm Pre is going to be successful and wants to make sure they have staff on hand when the billionz of iPhone users switch *cough* I mean… people *cough* over to their new phone.

Unfortunately, I must say, this is all speculation. For all we know Palm wants to put another camera in the phone so it’s been pushed back to next  year. Anyway, have a happy easter
