Miley Cyrus Loves Gays, American Family Association Disowns Her

In a recent conversation on Twitter between Miley Cryus and Perez Hilton, Miley defended gays by telling Perez:
“Everyone deserves to love and be loved and most importantly smile. Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! That’s like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz he’s gay and that is wrong and very sad! Like I said everyone deserves to be happy. God’s greatest commandment is to love. And judging is not loving. I am a Christian and I love you – gay or not – because you are no different than anyone else! We are all God’s children.”
Although the statement is nice and is indeed flattering to the gay community, not everyone agrees. In a recent statement by Donald Wildmon of the American Family Association, he said,
“Such statements will send the wrong message to our children who are influenced by this teenage megastar. Parents need to realize that Cyrus is not the positive role model she was once thought to be…. Clearly she is confused and does not understand the Bible.”
I totally agree. Sending statements like “love everyone no matter what their background, sexual orientation, or beliefs” is something we should not be teaching our kids, right? Give me a fucking break, Wildmon. You will burn in Hell for the hatred you’re spreading throughout the world. If there’s one thing I learned from true Christians, is that even though someone may be gay, it doesn’t make them any worse than the next person. As long as they have a warm heart, are kind, compassionate, and deeply care for those around them, they can be as gay, transsexual, black, white, whatever.
I applaud you, Miley Cyrus, for speaking out about the gay community and not worrying about the consequences you may have to face. If that’s not something kids should look up to, I don’t know what is.

[I totally want to give credit to whoever shot the image above, but I accidentally closed out the window to the persons website. If you know who did it shoot me an email on the contact page and I'll put the credit in here. I just spent 30 mins trying to find it and I can't.
