Schweeb: The Most Efficient Human Transportation

This has got to be one of the coolest and energy-efficient modes of transportation I have seen. It’s the Schweeb, a human-powered monorail system currently set up in New Zealand. The basics are this: a bike inside a one-person pod hooked to a monorail. Genious.

The idea came to the inventor while in Tokyo. I can see this design literally in almost every city except in the rural areas. Another plus is that it’s completely human driven, meaning there is no pollution to be had while riding in one. The Schweeb also looks fun — sort of like a miniature roller coaster.
