‘Jill & Kevin’s Wedding’ Fake, Or At Least The Music

With over 35 million views, Jill & Kevin’s Wedding has been one of the ultimate wedding viral videos. That is, until this story came to light. It seems as though the newly weds were part of a marketing campaign to spruce up Chris Brown‘s image. No doubt, the wedding did happen and the people in the video really did dance to music down the isle; but, before the video was posted on YouTube, Sony had a great idea.

Instead of hearing the original music (which I’ve heard was an old 80′s pop song), they threw in Chris Brown’s “Forever” in hopes to bring back more fans after he had beaten Rihanna. Subsequently, Sony even had the married couple booked on the Today Show and multiple other venues to create even more hype surrounding the “JK Wedding Dance video.”

I heard of the news on Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, one of my favorite morning talk shows. They stated that Sony saw how much Brown was losing his place after the beating that they needed a way to get fans back. Although the radio personalities did confirm the wedding was real, I have my doubts. If Sony was aware of the situation prior, I’m sure they paid all parties handsomely to not only post it online but to use their song as well. It’s obvious that someone with knowledge on post-editing knew what they were doing as the music sounds like it was actually playing during the ceremony.

-1 for corporate shenanigans. Sad face.

I heard about this too! JK Wedding is all fake. I don’t even believe these people got married. Corporate money strikes again!
