True Blood: What Is Sookie Stackhouse?
July 18, 2010 by Troy
Anna Paquin may be a regular human being in real life, but what is Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood? Sure, we all know her as a telepath – able to read the minds of humans, vampires and other mytical creatures — but, is there more than meets the eye? I ask that because I’m completely perplexed at her light-out-of-the-hand power that moves people away. The other characters in the show seem to be drawn by it as well.
So what’s my conclusion? Besides being a telepath, I have the feeling Sookie may be a witch. It fits in perfectly with the other creatures seen in True Blood. There’s vampires, warewolves, daemons; so, why not a witch?
Now, I haven’t read the books mind you. Of course, many other people have read Charlaine Harris Southern Vampire Novels. So, without knowing the true story, I’ve got to go with Sookie Stackhouse being a witch. What do you think?

Relive Ghost’s Most Memorable Sequence With ‘Unchained Melody’
May 30, 2010 by Troy
One of my all-time favorite movie is “Ghost.” I was very young when it came out but I can still remember everything about it; including Whoopi’s frizzy-ass hair. One of the most memorable sequences in the movie though, has to be when Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore where canoodaling while making pottery. It was at this moment I heard — for the first time — “Unchained Melody” by The Righteous Brothers. I have been in love with the song ever since.
So, in memory of Mr. Swayze and his unforgettable roll in Ghost, here’s Patrick himself, Demi Moore, Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers, and one of the most unforgettable love scenes ever filmed on video.

Kid Goes Out With His ‘Boots On’
Randy Houser should feel very, very happy. This kid is rocking out to “Boots on.” Don’t know who Randy Houser is? Well, he’s the one that sing that song (see original here). Although the two are not related, apparently the kid is the son of Dillion Dixon, a songwriter. With his new-found fame, looks like daddy should start writing for his son.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Season 1) Begins Taping
Bravo TV’s hit series, The Real Housewives, has yet another series it has begun taping. So what high-end local did they choose? Oh yeah, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The cast has been revealed, according to reports from Radar Online. Among the housewives of Beverly Hills are Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, Taylor Armstrong, Lisa Vanderpump-Todd, Camille Grammer (Kelsey Grammer’s wife), and finally Kyle and Kim Richards — one of Paris Hilton’s two aunts.
I have no doubts Bravo won’t be bringing the drama; however, it will be really interesting to see how Camille acts when all the drama starts flying. I’m not sure Kelsey will want the image of his wife to be skewed.

Imma Be Rocking That Body With The Black Eyed Peas
March 5, 2010 by Troy
Welcome to the future, ladies and gentlemen. A place ruled by the Black Eyed Peas. It’s not full of college students rocking out to “I Gotta Feeling.” Instead you’ll find a mashup of “Imma Be” and “Rock That Body“, breakdancing robots, futuristic motorcycles and the occasional dancing ray gun. Epic.

Season Finale Of The Real Housweives of OC (Season 5)
March 5, 2010 by Troy

The Real Housewives of Orange County
Wow. This season of The Real Housewives of Orange County was crazy. Bravo really brought the drama, if I do say so myself. But it’s the season 5 finale that left us hanging; so, lets break it down.
Like every other season finale, everything was over the top. The girls had an “end of summer bash” to celebrate the incredible year they spent together. Everyone showed up, even some past housewives (Jeana and Lauri). But, like every party the girls flock to, drama always ends up finding its way too. Read more

Pedigree Commercial Does Cuteness At 1000 Frames-Per-Second
March 4, 2010 by Troy
This is the epitome of a great dog food commercial. It’s cute, cuddly, dogs in slow-motion. Albeit a bit long, but who can’t resist the soft flowing fur at 1,000 frames-per-second? Not I. I dare you to not smile. Koodos goes out to Pedigree for an awesome commercial.

Life: The Successor Of ‘Planet Earth’
February 27, 2010 by Troy
Love Planet Earth? I have little doubt you don’t. In fact, 65 million people enjoyed the Discovery Channel series. On Sunday, March 21st, Discovery is making us fall in love with “her” all over again with Life.
Like its predecessor, Life will take us deep into the wondrous world we live in. And like the new name, it comes with a brand new narrator: Oprah Winfrey.
Some (like me) question why they chose Oprah. Personally, I would have preferred the voice of Sigourney Weaver. Perhaps it was Oprah’s undying passion for the series which she raved about on her own show. Either way, watching animal attacks in slow motion never looked so good.
For those of you who can’t wait the extra month, Discovery has a slew of online videos from the television series which you can watch at your leisure.

Everything You See On TV Really Is Fake
February 17, 2010 by Troy
This video will blow your mind. You thought all those city shots in your favorite TV shows were real? Well, you’re wrong. I was shocked to see what they were able to put in place of the “green screen.”
