Panama City Beach: Watching The Fog Roll In
July 2, 2009 by Troy
Thousands of people visit Panama City Beach during the spring and summer months, and for good reason. Panama City Beach is one of Florida’s best vacation destinations. There’s plenty of sunshine, boating, fishing, camping, and recreational facilities. If you are a visitor to the area, most likely you’re staying in a beach-front condo. But, the one thing you probably don’t get to see very often is the fog. For the most part, when fog does roll in, it comes on thick. So, unless your on a higher floor, you probably won’t be able to spot the true beauty mother nature offers in the morning. Luckily for us, Joanie Miller was out one morning and caught the fog rolling in off the Gulf of Mexico and caught it on camera to shared it with us today.

Lightning Almost Strikes The Whitehouse, Nails Tree
June 9, 2009 by Troy

Is this a sign from heaven? The image above is a picture taken by Haraz N. Ghanbari of the Associated Press. It clearly shows how lightning struck the grounds around the Whitehouse earlier today. Apparently, them-there politicians made someone above a little ticked off which led to various cloud-to-ground lightning strikes and an enormous amount of rain today between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
Note to Washington: someone, besides us, is watching.

2009 Spring Storm A Doosie!
Man, the spring storms hitting the southeast are bringing tons of wind and rain. I’m in the Panhandle of Florida and we’re seeing inches just falling to the ground. That, and threats of tornadoes and immense wind damage had me a little worried. I took the video camera outside to film how much rain was coming down and how my yard started to flood and the wind just picked up like crazy. I think a small tornado went by in my neighborhood. Glad I brought the dogs in.
