My Debut In Radio On GayAgenda.com!

December 23, 2009 by Troy

Tonight was a first for me. I’ve never been on a “radio show” before. It was quite an experience; almost like being dropped in a jungle and told to find my way home. To tell you the truth, I’ve never been so nervous in my life. I’m not one to sit and talk in front of a group or anything. I remember once in high school I almost fainted trying to give a presentation in front of a class of 20 peers.

I was talking to James Hipps, the main contributor of GayAgenda.com. He’s such a great guy and loves his politics. Unfortunately, that’s not my strongest point (haha). Either way, it wasn’t as bad as I expected and James is always a blast to talk to. If your into gay news and issues, head over to Gay Agenda.

PS: Thanks James, it was fun! To everyone that was listening, I hope I wasn’t that bad. :)

My Cat Went Missing :(

May 23, 2009 by Troy

joe-the-catYeah, it sucks. My cat, Joe, who’s been in the family for about two years went missing about a week and a half ago. We figured he went out to scope the ladies, being that it’s spring and all; but, wouldn’t you know, he hasn’t returned.

It’s been almost two weeks and I’m kinda sad. The other cat we have, Steve, isn’t as cool. Joe’s got one of those crazy personalities that I adore. He’s got turrets, is one of those cats that go tck-tck-tck (but only with his tail)whenever he gets in the mood, and lastly, he was a very lovable person when you get right down to it.

I’m not sure if he’s dead, or if someone simply picked him up, but I miss ya, Joe.

Under The Knife: Mole Removal

May 18, 2009 by Troy

Alright, so about two weeks ago I went to the dermatologist to get a couple of moles checked out, just to be sure they weren’t cancerous. Turns out one was an A-typical mole which the doctor said was the beginning stages of skin cancer. Today was the day where I had that one removed completely and I documented it with a couple of pics.

Yeah, not the prettiest sight in the world, but who cares? Deep down inside, I know you’re like “dayum!” Just kidding, lol. I know the image quality’s a little rough too, but that’s what you get with an iPhone 3G. I went to Gulf Coast Dermatology in Panama City Beach and had a pleasant experience. Trying to make the appointment was another story; but, after I got there I had a lot of fun with the doctors and nurses. By the way, everyone at Gulf Coast Dermatology is very pretty. Seriously, from the check-in lady, to the nurse, to Mrs. Hotness that took my mole off, I felt like I was in a rerun of ER.

Anyway, I’m all stitched up now and am glad it’s gone. Now, where did I put that tanning oil?

Video: Double Yolk Egg

March 25, 2009 by Troy

Have you ever wondered, “Do animals have twins, too?” Neither did I, however, when confronted with the question I was immediately intrigued. So, I was out working in the yard this past weekend and my boyfriend came up to me and said, “Hey, one of our chickens laid an egg with double yolks.” I was skeptical and immediately replied, “Yeah, whatever.” He kept insisting that it’s true. I figured it was just a random larger egg from one of our hens so he was like, “Come here — let me show you.” I went and grabbed the camera so I could rub it in his face in the future and here are our findings:

YouTube Video Removed: Uh-oh.

March 19, 2009 by Troy

viacom-stealing-videosYikes. When checking my email earlier today I saw a nasty little subject I definitely wasn’t expecting to see. Inbox: Video Removed: Copyright Infringement. No way. Little ‘ol me? Copying someones work? After opening the email I saw it was the video I posted on the awesome Quest Crew flip from America’s Best Dance Crew. Sad thing is, it was just a video of me recording my TV. Not only that, but I only recorded like 10 seconds of the show and I’m not making any money off it. Viacom, come the fuck on.

This got me wondering… do big communication and production companies actually hire someone to sit there and troll YouTube, Vimeo and the other mega video sharing sites for clips from their shows? I’m sure my measly 400 views could have been overshadowed by the millions of copied DVDs made last year.

A Dogs First Visit To The Vet

March 7, 2009 by Troy

photo3As a kid, I remember dreading the visit to the doctor. I used to have really bad asthma and frequently visited the doc to take two shots roughly three times a week. So, in essence, I can definitely feel for my dog. To make matters worse, it wasn’t only Molly’s first visit to the vet, but her first ever ride in my car.

She’s a beautiful pit bull and I was actually anxious to show her off, but wasn’t to keen on seeing her scared. I was constantly worrying if she’d dig in to someone’s skin. Luckily she didn’t, but she did get a few good pissed-off barks in

She had to get blood taken twice, a not-so-pretty stool sample and an ear cleaning. You tell me how you’d feel after that. Oh, and she weighed in at 42.6 lbs. Time for a diet! Read more

Morning Dew

March 7, 2009 by Troy

I’m not talking about the oh-so-electrifying Mountain Dew commercials you’ve been hearing nonstop on your radio, but rather a couple of red tulips with some dew on their pedals outside in the yard. I woke up this morning to a beautiful sight. Four of my tulips were blossoming. The detail is remarkable for a Nikon Coolpix S550 digital camera. As you can tell, I’m a huge fan of depth of field. I hope you enjoy the image as much as I do.

Not Bad For A Nikon Coolpix S550

Look at the dew on the Tulip's pedals. Awesome detail.

See Ya, Fag

March 4, 2009 by Troy

Yes, it’s true. A fag and his hag is about to go “bye-bye.” Not for good though! Just changing names. Why? Because my hag actually has a life, unlike me. Therefor she is unable to contribute to the site. Sad? Well, for me. For you, thought, it’ll probably be the same thing, lol.

It's like your parent's universe, but better.

It's like your parent's universe, but better.

I’ve decided to go with something that means, well, something. The new site will be universebot.com. The site isn’t up or anything. I’m still working with my hosting on just transfering everything over. Ok, here’s how I came up with the name. Universe is for talking about everything in the universe. Whether it’s politics, financial, technology, the gay lifestyle, celebrities, music, or movies, I talk about it all. Bot is because I feel like a bot that searches the internet for news. So, there you have it. Universebot.com.

Hey, at least it’s easier to remember AND type than what it currently is. :)

Wow! I Had To Add An Advertising Page.

February 20, 2009 by Troy

Wow. I’d first like to thank everyone who’s been reading my blog. Without you, I probably wouldn’t even be writing this post.

I’ve been getting contacted a lot lately from people asking if they can advertise on certain parts on my website. In all honesty, I’m flattered. When I first started this blog, I never thought anyone would actually approach me. I figured, hey, if I could just make a couple of dollars off Ad Sense to pay for the hosting every year, I’d be happy.

Over the past couple of days I’ve been contact quite a few times. So much so that I had to create an advertising page. If you’d like to advertise, just let me know. And again, thanks to all the readers for making this possible.
