Circuit City: Get It While The Gettin’s Good
November 13, 2008 by Troy
Unless you live in a cave, you probably know that the electronic giant, Circuit City, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. What you may not know is that they are having a sale on every single item in their stores. If you got some extra cash, which I just so happen to have, you need to go get the gadget you’ve been wanting.
Take for instance a digital camera; sure, I have an iPhone, but you know, the iPhone doesn’t take that good of pictures. It’s really good for spontaneous or relaxed photos, but not for nature pictures or really good family photos. So, I strolled my little ass down to my local Circuit City and went a-shop’n.
Last Saturday is when I looked all over the place and ended up buying a Nikon Coolpix S550 10-megapixel digital camera. I’m extreemly satisfied with my purchase and got 20% off. Thanks, Chapter 11!
After work today, Laura and I went to Olive Garden and went back to Circuit City to hunt for some more deals. I was thinking about buying one of those new fancy HP wireless printers, but wouldn’t you know they were out of every one. Oh, I could have bought the display model, but it didn’t come with anything that would have came in a new box. Like, it didn’t even have a power cord. None of them did. Can you say: conspiracy?!?! I also bought a manly case for my new camera, a Belkin iPhone FM Transmitter and charger for my car, and of course, some fucking Sour Patch Kids (even these were 20% off. WIN.).
So, I will say it again: If you have some extra cash, get your ass of your computer and go get it while the gettin’s good. If you don’t, you may end up like me, printerless.
