Today’s National Kidds Kids Day: Donate Today!

I don’t donate a lot, simply because I don’t have the money, but today’s different. For years I’ve been listening to Kidd Kraddick In The Morning, a morning show on my local radio that consists of a cast of the most normal people I’ve ever heard. And, although they may be normal, it’s what I like about them. Once a year they turn to their listeners and today’s that day. Today is Kidds Kids Day.

Kidds Kids Day is the one day out of the year where Kidd, Kelly, Big Al, JC, Shannon and the rest of the crew ask us for donations. The funds are used better than any other charity I can think of. No, I’m not dissing any other charity as I believe all are done well, but listening to the show every day gives me great joy in this particular one. The funds are used to take a group of terminally ill children to Disney World. And they don’t just take the kids, either; they also take their parents, brothers and sisters.

I’ll be donating for the first time this year with the $10 I’ve made from the ads on this website. Follow me to the donation page where I highly encourage you to donate anything. Hell, a dollar if you have it. Some of these children are dieing and this is the last chance they’ll get to remember this world — one not full of pain or hospital visits.

If you ever walk in on your child doing his/her science fair project and it’s based around microwaving animals to see if they explode the fastest, yes, your kid may be a psychopath.

Pixar Lets Girl Watch ‘Up’ Before Passing Away From Cancer

pixar-upIf this isn’t a heart-warming story, I don’t know what is.

Colby Curtin, a 10-year old girl, was suffering from terminal vascular cancer. She told her mother that before she died she wanted to see Pixar’s movie “Up.” Unfortunately, the little girls illness became far to unbearable to go to the movie theater; so, her mother decided to go straight to the source of the movie: Pixar.

Colby Curtin’s mother tried desperately to get in contact with someone at Pixar. So, what better to do than guess a name when speaking with the operator? It was almost a miracle when she got a hold of the first person she guessed. She explained her situation and how her daughter was dieing of cancer and at that second, someone upstairs must have been listening.

Pixar flew a person out to meet Colby Curtin with a copy of the “Up” DVD. The ill child tried her hardest to watch the movie but her pain was so bad that she literally couldn’t keep her eyes open. Her mother ended up telling her everything that was going on in the movie. Read more

I would love to have a job where I create the most random products for Americans to buy. I mean, look at this thing, how uncomfortable and remarkably stupid does this fleece sweater look? The Peekaru Original Fleece Baby Carrier Cover reminds me of the part in Ace Ventura Pet Detective where Ace comes out of the rhino’s ass.

I couldn’t have said it better than CrunchGear’s Nicholas Deleon: “And yes, it’s made in the USA. Take a bow, America!”

Own it today for only $80.00.
