While the wildfires were ablazin’ over in the western portion of the United States, one man decided to take out his camera and start taking photos. Put together in a time-lapse video, the camera reveals what looks like a volcano erupting in L.A. right before our very eyes. I wonder if anyone’s realized it’s not a good idea to live in L.A. anymore? Probably not.

How To Build A Fighter Jet In 3.5 Minutes
Whenever we see military fighter jets, we almost never think of its initial creation. The time when hundreds of people work diligently to built one of the most technologically advanced machines of all time. And, if you think of it right now (as in before you watch the video), you’re probably thinking its all built in one spot. That’s not the case. There’s many different areas for building each piece, as seen in this time-lapse video of constructing a Super Hornet fighter jet. The video is really cool. Go pop in a couple of Hot Pockets — they’ll be done just as the video ends.

Video: Beautiful Time-Lapse Of Riding A Freight Ship
No one, including me, ever thought riding a freight ship would ever seem fascinating. Enter this time-lapse video. Flickr user OneEighteen posted the video which had to be cut in half due to Flickr’s 90-second rule. You can check out the second video here.
OneEighteen points out the video was shot with a Nikon D700 and there are a total of 2000 still images that create the video. He made the video using Quicktime and it plays at 12 frames per second. The video was shot at the Port of Houston Authority Turning Basin as they rode to Green’s Bayou.
