GM-Volt.com Says ‘Drive Electric Cars’

I eagerly await the year when I can proudly say “I drive an electric car.” Hopefully by that time it will be charging on it’s own solar array, saving me even more money. But until that day arrives, I can only dream.

That doesn’t mean people aren’t going to try and get you in the right mindset. Take GM-Volt.com, the blog devoted to Chevrolet’s new electric [hybrid], the Chevy Volt. Sure, I’m betting the creator of this video is trying to generate traffic to his website, but I’m confident he’s also trying to show how positive life would be without petroleum. So, with that in mind, here’s the video.

This Saturday Night Live skit is hilarious. It features everyone favorite Barbadian, Rihanna, coupled with the goofy and socially awkward Shy Ronnie. For such a quick and simple skit they sure did get a nice beat to work with. It even has a awesome intro with both of them in slow-motion. This SNL skit is officially epic.

It’s a real eye-opener once you’ve ran through the entire video. Hold up — Lego Matrix? Yes, your eyes do not deceive you. I guess everything seems better when you add legos to the mix. The folks over at LegoMatrix.com have taken the soundtrack from the feature film and applied it to stop-motion animation of legos doing Bullet Time.

If that clips got the geek side of you going, head over to their website. They have section that shows how accurate the stop-motion is to the movie itself. There’s also a “making of” if you’re interested in doing this yourself. Now, if only they’d do the entire movie.

Video: Meteor Lights Up The Skies Over Utah

A couple of days ago, Utah residents where blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime view of a large meteor burning up in our atmosphere. The meteor was the size of a washing-machine according to the professor in the video. He also notes that this happens only about every five years. Many of the residents where scared, with good reason, because it light up their entire neighborhoods as if the sun had come up. While it only took seconds for the meteor to burn up in our atmosphere, they still believe parts of it could have landed on earth. Read more

Video: How Apple Should Handle Multitasking On The iPhone

There’s a video currently floating on the interwebs which shows a iPhone multitasking with “Cover Flow.” The idea comes from Swedish company, Ocean Observations. While no one’s heard of this company, you sure do now. They’ve come up with a mock-up of how Apple should handle multitasking — a much needed feature currently missing from the iPhone. Ocean Observations combined the cover flow taskbar with the traditional app icons for a very interesting approach even Apple may enjoy. Is this the future of the iPhone? Lets hope so.

Watch: Video Of NASA Bombing The Moon

Ok, let me forewarn you: this video is sorta‘ lame. At around 7:15am this morning NASA‘s crack team of scientist thought it would be a great idea to bomb the moon. Why exactly they needed to do this is beyond my comprehension. I read that it was a way for them to find out if water still exists under its powdery, rocky surface.  Regardless of the experiment, NASA did bomb the moon and this is the video. As I stated earlier, it’s not much of a thrill ride; but, perhaps a more enhanced image from an orbiting satellite will soon be sending pictures (or video) back to Earth. By the way, I recommend fast-forwarding to around minute five.

Serious Sam HD Wants Sunshine And Lollipops, Gets It

The Serious Sam HD “Sunshine & Lollipops” video is hilarious. With a game based on shooting monsters, who would have though sunshine and lollipops would have blended so smoothly? Not me. I started laughing though when Sam shot one of the the four-legged enemies with the SBC Cannon and candy canes, flowers and stars began pouring out. If you ever were a fan of the previous games, you’ll get a total kick out of this video.
